This is an exciting opportunity to work for a customer focussed, mortgage and savings provider, in a new role to the business, currently looking after a team of between 5 – 7 individuals.
The Lending Team Leader will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of the Lending Support Officers, and all activities associated with the end-to-end processing of new mortgage applications, such as Decisions in Principles and completions. You will be coaching and supporting your team to ensure a high-quality service to both their customers and intermediaries within agreed service levels.
Duties will include:
- Responsible for assisting with workload allocation and training and support of new and existing Lending Support officers.
- Accountable for the end-to-end case management of the Lending Support Officer of new mortgage applications received and processed within the department through to completion.
- Responsible for the daily management and monitoring of Lending Support Officer capacity to deliver performance, to ensure appropriate prioritisation is given to progressing mortgage applications.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring service level agreements for all underwriting stages of the mortgage process from application through to mortgage offer.
- Responsible for assisting with the quality control of specific Lending Support Officer functions including telephone calls, system input, fee collection and correspondence, ensuring the highest standards of service are always maintained.
- Responsible for dealing with inbound and outbound queries and enquiries relating to mortgage applications with mortgage applicants, their intermediaries and solicitors.
The successful individual will possess:
- Previous leadership experience within an administrative function
- Strong focus on customer service and outcomes
- Experience/knowledge of the mortgage process would be highly desirable
Due to the nature of the role, this position will be predominately office based.
