We are recruiting for a Marketing Analyst to join an award winning, customer focussed local financial services provider.  Reporting in to the Head of Mortgage Strategy and working closely with the Marketing team, the Marketing Analyst is a key strategic role fir the business.  You will be responsible for undertaking market and customer behavioural testing and analysis, using insight and research output to inform product development, customer management and communications and planning / forecasting.

 

The ideal candidate will have had experience in a strategic capacity role and will require high levels of numeracy and the ability to translate data into usable insight that is easy to understand throughout the business. Strong communication skills will also be very important as you will be working with multiple stakeholders both within and outside of the business.  

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:

 

  • Undertaking market and customer research to inform the product development process and support the Heads of Mortgage Strategy and Savings Strategy to optimise customer value through the creation of new product propositions
  • Undertaking process / communications testing on specific customer groups to understand the impact on customer behaviours and make recommendations to deliver enhanced commercial performance and profitability for the business 
  • Undertaking analysis of book performance and attrition to make recommendations to deliver improved forecasting and business planning
  • Own, develop and implement test plans for the retentions strategy (mortgage and savings) including making recommendations on pricing / communications / distribution and product features
  • Understand and evaluate key competitors and their activity/strategies.
  • Use market, customer & intermediary insight to identify and recommend opportunities with which to expand or defend existing segments, and differentiate our proposition, aligned to the company vision
  • Gather, validate / sense check and analyse complex, multiple and contradictory data in order to make objective interpretations, which are then summarised and simplified for the benefit of the business and stakeholders

 

Skills & Qualifications required:

 

  • Degree or similar qualifications in a numerical based discipline e.g. mathematics, statistics, economics etc. would be an advantage but not essential
  • Demonstrable track record of using data insight to drive business improvements 
  • Strong Stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with database and analytical tools e.g. excel
  • Report writing and presentation skills 
  • Ability to adapt style and interact at all levels, maintaining credibility
  • Innovative thinker
