Our client is a very successful niche financial services provider who are looking to add to their by recruiting a new Marketing Manager. The main purpose of the role is to lead the provision of an expert and effective marketing service in accordance with the brand values across the business including communications, product management and the use of PR.  Provide the systems, processes and policies that support delivery of the marketing strategy and business objectives.  Identify, lead and deliver the marketing priorities and vision for both product and brand distribution regionally via our retail branch network and nationally via our mortgage intermediaries and to manage the Marketing function demonstrating an understanding of marketing channels and brand development ensuring that financial promotions meet regulatory requirements.

 

Key areas of responsibility:

·         Accountable for communicating marketing priorities to ensure timely delivery across the business

·         Keep business areas up to date with initiatives and activities

·         Create and maintain the Marketing Plan to deliver the business objectives across the product range and key distribution channels

·         Analyse internal and external data to benchmark the marketing approach, respond to trends, marketing developments and processes to evaluate a range of options and propose changes where required

·         Manage new and ongoing supplier relations as required in support of business objectives to deliver marketing priorities across a range of channels

·         Lead on marketing projects engaging colleagues and key stakeholders as necessary to deliver in accordance with deadlines and in line with business requirements

·         Manage media relations on a proactive and reactive basis, generating news stories and drafting media releases

·         Maintain overall responsibility for the Society’s website ensuring products are kept up to date on the website and mortgage sourcing systems

·         Manage core marketing platforms for efficiency, distribution, quality of delivery and compliance; website, social media (once launched), email marketing, CRM, electronic surveys, support with Financial Promotions platform

·         Develop customer insights through analysis of customer demographics, product holding/utilisation, catchment analysis, product analysis

·         Develop intermediary insights through analysis of intermediary behaviour and engagement

 

Ideally you will be/have:

 

·         Proven track record of success in a senior marketing role

·         Planning and implementing marketing campaigns

·         Digital and online marketing

·         Copy writing

·         Budget management

·         Knowledge of working within a customer communications environment

·         Marketing generalist experience including assessment of channels, audience and spend

·         Ability to lead on campaign planning, delivery and analysis

·         Experience of working with core platforms; e.g. Wordpress, Mailchimp, CRM

·         Experience of evaluating and reviewing marketing systems, policies and processes

·         Financial services experience and a formal marketing qualification is desirable but not essential
