Our client, a successful and well respected financial services organisation, are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Operations Team Manager to manage the Mortgage Operations Team and ensure the Mortgage Department provide an efficient and professional Mortgage Processing and Servicing to the customers and intermediaries.
 
Responsibilities:
 
- Line management of Mortgage Processing and Servicing Team
- Identify improvements to enhance processes
- Implementing all mortgage related policies and procedures
- Undertaking project planning and implementing operations projects on time and within budget
- Monitoring errors or complaints that arise and implement changes to reduce or eliminate such issues
- Complying with all legal responsibilities and codes of conduct to which the organisation must comply with
- Being aware of and escalating any suspected Mortgage Fraud and Money Laundering incidents
- Providing training to staff to ensure a thorough understanding of the practices and procedures
- Managing mortgage product tranches to ensure limits are not exceeded
- MI reporting on behalf of the mortgage department as required
- Managing a large pipeline of cases through to completion
- Ensuring departmental SLAs are achieved
- Adhere to the Fraud Prevention Policy Statement and the Company’s systems and procedures in relation to the prevention of fraud
- Being alert to the possibility that unusual events or transactions could be indicators of fraud
 
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
 
- Experience of managing an operational and/or processing team
- People Management experience
- 5 GCSE at Grade C or above including Maths and English or equivalent
- Ce-MAP (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience of Microsoft packages including word & excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail
