Our client, a well-established and respected mortgage and savings provider, is currently seeking two Mortgage Administrators to extend their team within the Mortgage Department at their Head Office, near Leicester. 

The main purpose of the role is to provide an exceptional level of mortgage administration throughout the whole new mortgage application process in conjunction with providing a high level of service to the Society’s network of Mortgage Brokers. As a Mortgage Services Administrator and member of the Mortgage Team you will be enthusiastic, accurate, customer service driven and passionate about building relationships whilst providing a high level of service to internal and external customers at all times. Planning, organising and supporting the rest of the team along with developing your own potential within the role is key.

Responsibilities include:

  • To provide excellent quality customer service to our mortgage intermediaries at all times
  • Be competent and maintain ongoing competency
  • Respect and maintain customer confidentiality
  • Keep an up to date knowledge of all the Society’s mortgage products and services
  • Understand and comply with all appropriate regulation, codes of practice, procedures and policies relevant to the role
  • Understand and apply the concepts of Treating Customers Fairly and Conduct Risk
  • Ensure personal and professional development by undertaking internal and external training courses as required
  • To support colleagues at all times by working as a valued team member
  • Have a professional, positive, flexible approach at all times
  • Communicate with colleagues efficiently, reporting any issues, departmental requirements and problems to your line Manager for attention

The successful applicant will ideally:

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills along with accurate administrative capabilities
  • Be educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent
  • Be CeMAP qualified or be prepared to become CeMAP qualified
  • Have an understanding of mortgages
  • Be numerate and PC literate
  • Have the ability to develop long term relationships with mortgage brokers over the telephone in order to establish and meet their needs and help them achieve their goals
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Be able to maintain a detailed level of knowledge to be able to effectively handle a wide range of broker related enquiries.

This role is offered on full time permanent basis, 35 hours per week plus Saturday morning, arranged by rota.  The salary offered is £15,530 - £22,780, dependant on experience.
