Our client is a small but highly successful and well-respected financial services organisation who are going through an exceptional period of change. This is an exciting time to join then as a Project Manager working alongside their external provider to revolutionise the way they deliver their services. The key objectives of the role are to create and embed a change management framework and culture, deliver key project milestones on time and in budget, ensure all stakeholders are considered in the change requirements and ensure a strong understanding of resource capacity across the organisation.

This is a new role for the organisation and it’s an exciting opportunity to really get involved in setting up the full Project Management function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and embed a change management framework and culture within the organisation covering all aspects from governance through to delivery, monitoring, and review and lead change management activities
  • Create a strategy to support adoption of the change management
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, assess risk, and identify key stakeholders
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Design and deliver change and project management training to other team members
  • Understand the detail of deliverables, and work with stakeholders and project team members to define, manage and monitor deliverables, and acceptance criteria
  • Management of project resources including people and costs
  • Manage risks and issues, ensure that mitigations are in place and escalate where appropriate 
  • Ensuring necessary quality assurance processes are in place to guarantee that outcomes are equal to expectation
  • Provide timely and accurate project reporting and MI for relevant stakeholders
  • Select or design, then implement a tool to measure and aid management of organisational capacity
  • Provision of leadership, management, mentorship and training of other Project Managers and Business Analysts

What you will need:

  • Expert knowledge of relevant project management methodologies (including Agile), development life cycles etc and of financial forecasting and budget management
  • Project Management Qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or similar)
  • Experience of delivering Technology Projects in Services Operations, Finance, Retail and/or Telecoms.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams and projects to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment with a preference for financial services experience

Whilst our clients head office is based near Kent, they are very happy for this role to take on a hybrid approach i.e., 2/3 days in the office and the remainder working from home.
