Specialist Accounts Team Leader

Ultimate Banking are pleased to be working with our customer centric financial services provider, as they seek an experienced banking professional to manage and develop their specialist non-personal savings and deposit account’s function.
The team supports the onboarding, administration, and ongoing review of complex accounts which include Trusts, Charities, SIPPS, SSASs and Business Accounts (and more!). You will be leading this team, and it is a critical, first line role with direct customer interaction and risk control responsibility.
Duties will include:
- Lead and support a small team of account specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management
- Personally manage the opening, maintenance, and administration of a variety of specialist non-personal accounts
- Handle complex applications, including interpreting legal and governance documents (e.g., trust deeds, mandates, charity constitutions, partnership agreements).
- Carry out and supervise anti-money laundering (AML), fraud, and risk checks in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support the design and refinement of processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Handle complex queries and resolve issues promptly and empathetically to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
It is essential that you have previous experience with complex business accounts, along with some exposure to any of the following account types – Trusts, Charities, SIPPs, SSASs, or client accounts.
Whilst having previous line management/leadership experience would be desirable, our client is happy to consider those who hold the technical skills and would like to develop their career into a leadership role (which they would fully support/help develop).
The head office is based in Bath, Somerset and they can offer a hybrid approach to the working week with 3 days office based and 2 days working remotely.
