Our client, a successful specialist lender based in Central London, are currently recruiting for an experienced Development Finance Underwriter. The successful candidate will assess and underwrite approved Development loan applications within company lending criteria and within personal lending mandate. They are a growing organisation and you will be joining at an exciting time for them as they move in to new areas of lending. You will be one of the most senior members of the underwriting team and the specialist within Development Finance lending.
There is a highly competitive salary and benefits package on offer, with expected salary up to £60k, although for an exceptional candidate it could be beyond this.

- Extensive, complex Underwriting experience within a specialist lending sector essential
- Ability to adopt a pragmatic approach to underwriting within approved lending mandate
- Able to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
- Able to work confidently with a small team or individually
Key Measures
- Successfully underwrite more complex high quality loan applications
- Demonstrate an ability to run high volumes of new underwriting cases, including commercial, development and semi-commercial while converting to draw down without losing the high standards expected
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years current underwriting to include holding a suitable lending mandate and a current lending mandate in Development Finance.
